The Piccadilly record label was a shortlived budget off-shoot of Metropole, introduced in October 1928 and finally vanishing in April 1932 after a price reduction due to poor sales. Catalogue numbers ran from 100 to 934. They are one of the most visually appealing British record labels, and are perhaps best remembered for producing UK pressings from American recordings on Emerson and Grey Gull of dance bands and the like. They did, however, produce some classical records, though performers seemed to appear pseudonymously.
